Critical Time Intervention (CTI) training increase skills and competencies among case managers and supervisors at GPD case management grantee programs, which in turn can improve quality of care, health and housing outcomes, and care experiences for homeless-experienced Veterans. We have two options for Critical Time Intervention (CTI) training.
- Option #1 is an intensive six session training. Five sessions are 2-hour webinar videos (10 hours total) led by Housing Innovations, a leader in training clinicians in evidence-based psychosocial interventions that improve housing and health for individuals who have experienced homelessness. The sixth session is a slide presentation (no video) by Roger Casey, the director of the Education Unit of the National Center on Homelessness among Veterans (NCHAV). These slides provide an overview of VA homeless services, encompassing the breadth of VA health and social services for Veterans with homeless experiences.
- Option #2 is a two-part webinar series (2 hours total) led by Housing Innovations and a slide presentation (no video) by NCHAV. The condensed "Jumpstart to Using CTI" webinar delivers a beginners introduction to CTI and covers information from the intensive training (option 1). The NCHAV slide presentation provides an overview of VA homeless services, encompassing the breadth of VA health and social services for Veterans with homeless experiences.
